Participate in Laboratory Research

One of the purposes of the Sleep Consciousness Institute (SCI) is to carry out well-designed laboratory experiments to build a growing body of neuroscience-based experimental and phenomenological empirical evidence related to Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs) with the objective of helping increase their experimentation in more objective ways.

SCI has been carrying out experimental research with gifted subjects, researching the neurophysiological correlates of voluntary induced OBEs, studying the effect of the induction of OBEs through precise multi-focal tES (transcranial Electric Stimulation) neuromodulation, investigating in-depth the neurophysiology of the Vibrational State and its effect on the brain, as well as conducting innovative research on psychedelics, such as N, N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), considering their potential and limitations for the induction of OBEs, with our partner Gamma Wave Technologies Ltd.

To go further with this research and others, we need your help. We are building a database of experienced and gifted out-of-body experiencers (OBErs) who are interested in contributing to research and participating in such laboratory experiments, now or in the future.
